Recognizing the prevalence of this issue in urban coffee shop settings, Ash/presso introduces an innovative solution: transforming cigarette butts into sustainable design materials. At the heart of Ash/presso's design concept lies Prototech, developed by Parongpong RAW Lab, an eco-friendly thermo dynamic processing technology. This dynamic duo ensures that cigarette butt waste is not only purified but also seamlessly integrated into ready-mix concrete by Conture Concrete Lab. The result? A transformative process that mitigates environmental harm while yielding functional and aesthetically pleasing design products. Key features of Ash/presso include its sustainable material source, sourced from coffee shop environments, promoting responsible disposal practices among consumers. Moreover, its eco-friendly processing methods minimize environmental harm and maximize usability, making it suitable for various design applications, indoors and out. Ash/presso doesn't stop there. In addition to repurposing cigarette butt waste, it introduces PURA sheets from coffee, a composite of coffee pellets mixed with low-value plastics using the same innovative technology. This expansion further enriches the arsenal of sustainable materials available for design applications.
